Subaru Solterra Receives Requested Updates and Lower Price for 2025

The Solterra is Subaru’s first battery-electric SUV. For 2025, you will be happy to see that prices have dropped from last year’s model. With a starting MSRP of $38,495, the Solterra Premium is now $6,500 less than the 2024 model. The Touring model is now $7,000 less expensive, too.

For 2025, Subaru adds a Touring Onyx Edition at the top of the Solterra line. This new trim level adds 20-inch aluminum-alloy gloss black wheels and black exterior and interior accents, including black badging.

“Fueling” the 2025 Solterra is a high-capacity lithium-ion battery pack that can be recharged at a DC Fast Charging station from 10% to 80% in as little as 35 minutes. The battery pack also includes an uprated conditioning system for improved cold-weather charging performance in colder temperatures.

All 2025 Solterra models are powered by dual electric motors placed on the front and rear axles that deliver 249 pound-feet of torque. Features include Dual-Function X-MODE with Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud modes, Grip Control, and Downhill Assist Control for confidence in low-grip or off-road capability. Standard Symmetrical all-wheel drive, Active Cornering Assist, and Vehicle Stability Control make your drive an easier experience. Subaru StarDrive Technology brings the essence of a Subaru without using one drop of gasoline.

The Solterra also adds the convenience features you want, including the available 12.3-inch high-resolution touchscreen for infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. There is also the added benefit of 8.3 inches of ground clearance for genuine off-road capability. This is best-in-class among small electric SUVs.

With the EyeSight Driver Assistance Technology suite standard on all trim levels, the Solterra is built to keep you and your passengers safe. Features that are part of the EyeSight system include Emergency Steering Assist, Intersection Collision Avoidance Support, Pre-Collision Brake Assist, Lane Departure Prevention, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Lane Tracing Assist, Hands-Free Low Speed Driving, DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System, Emergency Driving Stop System, and more.

Recently, the Subaru Solterra was named a TOP SAFETY PICK+, the highest honor, by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. It also earned the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score.

The 2025 Solterra will qualify for applicable federal tax credits of up to $7,500 for some consumers. This added bonus helps in keeping your overall vehicle costs own.
