Subaru Again Ranks High on Forbes’ Annual Social Impact List
For years, Subaru of America has been using the line “More Than a Car Company,” and it has backed the line with national and local initiatives as part of the Subaru Love Promise. The actions have been so consistent that the general public has come to realize that this is the real deal, baked into Subaru’s identity and not just some PR campaign. Twin Falls Subaru is proud to announce that Subaru has been recognized for the third year in a row as one of the top three brands on Forbes’ 2025 Best Brands for Social Impact list.
The Forbes survey was conducted with the assistance of HundredX, a firm that specializes in analyzing consumer insights. The 2025 survey gathered over 4.4 million ratings from 165,000 consumers, evaluating 3,900 unique brands. It assessed the brands’ perceived values, trust, social stances, sustainability, and community support.
Respondents also nominated brands independently, ensuring that the rankings honored organizations that integrate social impact into their core business strategies and align with their customers’ values to foster meaningful change. The survey was conducted over nearly a year, from March 2024 to February 2025, helping to diminish the effect of any isolated PR or advertising campaign.
Subaru was ranked third among all brands across various industry categories. H-E-B grocery firm secured the first position, and REI—a retailer specializing in outdoor equipment, supplies, and apparel—took second place. Following Subaru were three electronics brands: Apple, Sony, and Nintendo. Its high ranking positioned Subaru as the top automotive brand. The next automotive brand on the list was Toyota, which ranked 11th and has collaborated with Subaru on multiple models.
Upon hearing the results, Jeff Walters, President and Chief Operating Officer of Subaru of America, Inc., had this to say: “Giving back is at the heart of our company, and we’re proud to stand alongside other purpose-driven brands. Being ranked as the No. 1 automotive brand for the third consecutive year is a testament to the meaningful impact that our retailers are making in their local communities every day. Through the Subaru Love Promise initiative, we are fortunate to partner with organizations that create real, lasting change, and we appreciate the recognition.”
